  • Join Avon Team Envision – ONLY open to representatives on Avon Team Envision whose uplines are Jennifer Francis or Emily Stephens
  • Follow me on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest to get training and ideas to help you run your business.
  • Set up your online store
  • Develop your warm list. Make a list of 50 people you know.
  • Send a text message celebrating your new Avon business and text a link to your online store
  • Post a message on your social media channels indicating why you joined Avon and include a link to your online store
  • Custom Build Your Avon Kit – If you signed up to Join Avon For Free, you will need to custom build your starter kit. It is the most cost efficient to build a $200 starter kit (at 45% off after your cash back bonus)

Getting Started with Avon U – Avon Tips and Tricks

Did you know that Avon has a training program for representatives and it is completely 100% free? The Avon Training Program is called Avon U and you can find it in your back office by logging into your account on AvonNow.com. Once you sign up to become an Avon Representative, I recommend taking the Shortcut to Success training immediately. The second training I would recommend is the Social Selling module.

Here’s a fun fact- new Representatives who complete the training program have 3x higher sales than those who don’t participate in this fabulous FREE training?

Among the new Representatives who completed Shortcut to Success, 18% of them had online sales compared to only 6% of the Representatives who were not active in AVON U training.

Why is it important to have online sales? When you choose to sell online – you save yourself money. Because you have a virtual brochure, you can cut your brochure costs by sharing your e-store link. And you can save yourself time and money because your customers’ orders will be shipped directly to their door – instead of you having to separate, deliver and collect money. And if we truly want this to be a side-hustle, time and money are valuable.

So, one of the very first things you can do as a new Avon Representative is to log on and take the first Avon U training module, Shortcut to Success. You can even do it before your free gift arrives.

Share Your Online Brochure – Avon Tips and Tricks for New Representatives

Gone are the days when you sign up to become an Avon Representative and wait around for your brochures to arrive. How exciting is it that you can start your Avon business today by sharing your online brochure with everyone on your contact list.

Your very own current online Avon Catalog is always located on your e-store, which is always 100% free to you as an Avon Representative. You can find it by typing your e-store address in the URL box at the top of the screen and navigating to “THE BOOK”.

If you haven’t set up your account yet, go ahead and set it up in your web office on AvonNow.com or ask your upline for your personalized web address.

Once you navigate to “THE BOOK”, you can copy and paste the link to your social media accounts, text messages, emails and other various forms of communication. Maximize Your First Order – Avon Tips and Tricks for New Representatives

As you begin as an Avon Representative, you are guaranteed 25% earnings on your first order. What that means is that you are guaranteed 25% off your entire first order and if you sell any of those products to other people, you will earn 25% on everything.

But when you hit important milestones during your first months as an Avon Representative, you become eligible to receive $20 and $100 bonuses – which will increase your overall commission up to 65%.

Avon Catalogs

The first thing you will want to consider including in your first order is the Avon Catalog. Your brochure is your business. So while it is important to be sharing your e-store with your contacts right away, you should also be leaving a trail of brochures wherever you go. I recommend ordering at least 50 brochures when you are first starting out. Distribute your books to everyone you meet.

AND GET CONTACT PHONE NUMBERS.

Don’t leave books without getting a contact number for follow up!

When you invest in 50 Avon brochures, you will be paying a little over $16. To offset the cost of this supply, you can (and should) charge your customers a processing fee. I charge $3, but many reps charge $1. If your 50 books generate $25 customers for you and you collect a $1 service fee, you have MORE THAN made back your investment. And if you are collecting contact information like you should, you shouldn’t have a problem generating 25 customers from 50 books.

Avon Samples

Another thing you may want to consider ordering is samples. Here is a list of the best samples to include.

  • Perfume swatches – usually only around $1
  • skincare (Anew Ultimate and Dual Elixir are generally good sellers)
  • Lip Bullets – customers love getting free lipsticks to try!
  • invoice/order book – FREE
  • Skin So Soft Original (there are over 100 uses for skin so soft)
  • Popcorn bags – to package your customers orders
  • MagiX Face Perfector

Another good way to determine which samples to order is to take a look at the most recent brochure or What’s New and see what Avon is featuring and promoting and check your back office at AvonNow.com to see if there are any samples that correlate with what Avon is promoting.

The What’s New is a catalog only available to Avon Representatives. You can purchase upcoming products on demo before they are released to the public.

Begin Replacing Household Items with Avon Products

Now that you’re getting a discount, why wouldn’t you buy EVERYTHING from YOUR business, instead of supporting a big box business? You will be paying less for things like:

It would be advantageous for you to begin to slowly replace all the products in your house with products from your new business! If you were headed to the store tomorrow and were making a list of things you needed at your house, what products would be on that list? What products could you actually buy from YOUR BUSINESS at a discount? Why pay full price for those products when you could buy them from YOURSELF at a guaranteed 25% to 65% off in your first order?

As an added bonus, this will help you as you begin talking to customers. Since, eventually, all of your products will be Avon products, you will be able to give a first hand testimony about your experience with all the products, which will build higher orders for you and make you a more successful representative.

Did you know, you can create custom coupon codes for your customers? There are several options available for you to create coupon codes. Why not give your customers free shipping on their first $50 order. Or maybe you could give them 10% off their first order. Or a pack of samples.

It’s up to you to know what your customers will like best! But be sure to be getting email address for everyone you meet so they can access your custom coupon codes.

Get Contact Info for Follow up – Avon Tips and Tricks for New Representatives

When you hand out a catalog to a potential new customer, the best way to ensure success in your business is to get follow up information. After all #TheFortuneIsInTheFollowup. But, if you are anything like me, it just feels icky saying “can I get your phone number?”

Luckily I have found a better way to do this that doesn’t feel so awkward. When I use my custom coupon codes to my advantage, it feels less like I am asking for something, and more like I’m GIVING something of value. Here’s an example of how the conversation goes:

Hi (Potential New Customer). I love your lipstick shade (give a genuine compliment)! It looks exactly like this shade in my Avon book – have you seen a book lately?

When appropriate, give them a book.

Hey! Before I forget, what’s your phone number and email address? I want to send you a code to get 10% off your order. I love coupon codes, don’t you?

They will give you their phone number and email address you can immediately put them into your back office address book and create a coupon code to send to them.

Getting Contact Info Virtually

Another effective way to get your potential customers contact info is to add them to your email list virtually. A great way to do that is with a giveaway.

Avon always has a customer giveaway going. And when your customers enter to win, they automatically get added to your email list.

You can access the current giveaway by accessing your e-store personalization tool in the web office of your representative account at AvonNow.com. Click on the edit button to change the widget to the current sweepstakes and copy and paste the link to share it with your customers.

Your customers will enter the sweepstakes and have the option to receive communication from you. You want to let them know to be sure to opt in so they can get coupons. Let them know they can adjust their email settings to receive emails as often (or as little) as they want.

The Pathway to Premier Program- Avon Tips and Tricks for New Represenatives

When you sign up for Avon and learn how to start selling Avon , the possibilities for your business are endless. With the Pathway to Premier for Avon Representatives, you could make your first (of hopefully many) $3500 in the first four months

To make $3500 in 90 days, you will need to hit the sales goals outlined by the program. No matter what, you will always earn 25% commission on orders over $40. But when you accumulate $200 award sales (retail sales) in a campaign, you’ll get a $20 cash back bonus.

When you accumulate $1000 in award sales (retail sales) in a campaign, you’ll earn a 10% bonus (starts at $100). If you hit all of your Pathway to Premier Goals, you will up to $3250, which amounts to 65% earnings.

In addition, you will have earned your first sales title as an Avon Representative, the Premier. This title is a stepping stone to get the prestigious President’s Club sales title.

Those who have achieved a the Avon Premier level have accumulated $5000 in retail sales and they will earn a guaranteed 30% on all beauty products until they reach presidents club.

When you reach $10,000 in sales in a calendar year, you will have received the Presidents Club Sales title and will earn a guaranteed 40% earnings on all of your beauty products.

Avon assumes that as your business progresses, you will be sharing Avon products with more people, which will eventually lead to more customers and higher sales.
