Avon Vendor Events are a great way to meet new people and expand your business.

The problem is that many representatives look at vendor shows the wrong way when it comes to their Avon business.

If done correctly, an Avon Vendor show could be the one thing you need to propel your business forward and start bringing in a residual income.

But, ONLY if you look at it the right way.

In today’s training, I explain the primary thing to focus on for a successful Avon Vendor Show.

Sell Avon Successfully at Public Avon Vendor Shows

Many Avon Representatives define a successful Avon Vendor Event as one where they sold a lot of on hand product.

While that may be a way to finally turn some of that inventory into cash, my opinion is that there is a better way.

I don’t recommend storing a ton of product just for Avon vendor events. I know many do and they feel they make a lot of money that way.

But the way I look at it, that’s your money sitting on the shelves until you sell it.

And I personally want that money in my pocket – not sitting on my shelves.

While, you may need SOME product to sell on hand at your event, I actually don’t think selling that product that should be the primary focus. And I definitely don’t think you should go and place a huge order, just to sell at a vendor event.

Instead, I would like to see more Avon Representatives collect EMAIL ADDRESSES and CONTACT INFORMATION at their Avon Vendor Shows. And I would like to see them use that information to follow up after the event or enter them into the Avon address book, allowing Avon to market to these people on your behalf.

*if you collect email addresses to enter into your address book, be sure there is a box to check giving permission to receive marketing communications from Avon.

Must Haves for Your Avon Vendor Event

The only must have for your Avon vendor event are Avon brochures (be sure to collect contact info and follow up when you give one out) and a giveaway. People are always looking to request an Avon Catalog.

If you don’t have enough money to fund a giveaway, use a picture of the Avon Sweepstakes. Create a contact form including all of the blanks on the Avon sweepstakes page. If you have a couple of products from the Avon sweepstakes to make a display, that’s even better.

You may decide to have some samples on hand for people to try. And if they are ready to buy, have an ipad ready to help them create an account, place their order and ship it right to them on the spot.

You could even decide to set up makeup consultations at your booth and use the Avon Virtual Makeover Tool from the Avon Digital Catalog.

Sell Avon Successfully in Online Avon Vendor Events

The same idea applies for hosting or participating in online Avon Vendor Events. The primary goal should be to collect contact information instead of sell products.

You can collect contact information in a couple of different ways.

Like the in person Avon Vendor Show, you could choose to showcase the Avon Sweepstakes.

You could also allow people to fill out an Avon Catalog Request and later send them an Avon Catalog by Mail.

A really good tip to a successful online Avon Vendor Show is to set up makeup consultations and post each person’s results in the group.

It is also extremely effective to do an Avon Live Shopping Event in the group, which will boost your ranking and allow you to showcase products!
